On the 26th of March, Simon had the privilege of attending the 2022, Sparrowland Short Film Festival in Wooloongabba, QLD.

Although the main focus of the event was short film, this year saw a slight shift in format, with the incorporation of other forms of visual arts, including an amazing live theatrical performance.

It was a world class line up of Australian and International short films, with A Godless Country, by director Jesse Richardson, taking out Best Australian Film, Best Queensland Film, The ‘Leo’ Award, as well as The People’s Choice. There is very little doubt that Jesse and this film will go on to set the world on fire as a feature.
