It’s been 20 years since the 1978 “Muck-Up Day Masacre” at Cranville High School, where three senior students were found gruesomely murdered. Although the killer was never caught and their identity never determined, the legend of the SOFTBALL SLASHER lives on.
For BECKY SILVER, class dux and sports captain, it’s time to revive Muck-Up Day, and in the process challenge the authority of the school principal (and her mother) MARY SILVER. This act of rebellion is less about Muck Up Day and more about impressing the hottest girl in school, LAUREN BEDDINGFORD.
On Muck-Up Day eve, under the cover of darkness, Becky, Lauren and mutual friend KATE WENDELL, join the school jocks in a secret mission to fill the school with pranks and practical jokes. Locked in for the night, free to roam the classrooms and the corridors, Becky and her friends have all the time in the world to run amuk. Or so they think.
As the teens are hunted and slayed by the legendary, softball mask-wearing psychopath, Becky and her friends struggle to stay alive. Who’s behind the softball mask? Who will survive the night? And why is history repeating itself 20 years on?
